100 Happy Days...Day 60

Day 60 - Days Out

Today was a non-work day to let me have another nice day out with my parents. Out trip today took us to my two favourite places, Keswick and Bowness on Windermere. I've been visiting the Lake District since I was a baby and always enjoy returning back.

We spent our morning walking through Keswick town, visiting the range of little independent shops the high street has to offer, and Keswick's amazing chocolate shop, before heading down to the Lakeside. I must have spent months of my life sat at that lakeside watching the boats go past. It never seems to get boring.

After enjoying a lovely lunch at Hope Cafe, we headed back to the car and drove down to Bowness. After another wonder round the shops we walked down to the lake, only to get rained upon by a very sudden shower. We still managed to enjoy our ritual ice cream down by the lake side, eaten from under the cover of the bus shelter before heading home.

A lovely day out, just a shame the weather decided to rain.
